April 8th, 2019 - The Design Garden project springs from the collaboration between The Stylist's Wardrobe and the curators Marta Massara and Elisabetta Scantamburlo.

An elegant showroom in Cadorna hosts, as part of the ‘5 VIE’ circuit and on the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2019, a collective of design and art inspired by nature in its various kingdoms - mineral, vegetable, animal - and in its interaction with man. In design too, everything starts from and everything goes back to nature, from materials to inspiration in shapes and colours. During the week when Milan becomes a destination for creatives from all over the world and is filled with suggestions, we want to honour nature, remembering that we are her guests and celebrating her as the first designer from which all get inspired sooner or later. Artists and designers on show:

BAM, Bottega Artigiana Metalli, is a designers’ collective who get their hands in the dirt and artisans who think with their hands. Federica Bracchetti is an artist from Pesaro whose inspiration is nature, in her manifold facets and forms. Creative El Vision design studio, founded by Elona Izrailova, combines a combination of graphic tradition with materials such as mirrors, woods and fabrics. Also Daniela Evangelisti has a great passion for fabrics, in particular for raw hemp canvases, ancient sheets and embroidery, intertwined in her works with steel, iron and wire mesh. The designer Margherita Fanti, who collaborates with the Alessandro La Spada studio, attracted and inspired by different stylistic influences, presents here Domestic Architectures, vases and incense holders inspired by the metaphysical atmospheres of De Chirico. The seductive and saturated colours and the sophisticated pictorial structures by Richard Heeps, an English photographer, demonstrate a true love for his subjects, where even to the smallest detail is taken care of, whether they are portraits, aseptic interiors, still life or landscapes. Piero Mollica's photographic research moves into the world of architecture. Starting from a conscious giving up of the image and its description, the photographer transforms it to invite the viewer to observe reality from different points of view. The Guardian seat and The Odd Couple coffee table, the project presented by designer Silvia Musetti, recalls natural materials, drawing on hard and strong materials, interpreted in soft and welcoming shapes. Maurizio Pracella creates, through photography, images that are always connected by his very personal way of interpreting, bringing colours to live in a discreet and natural way. Nature is also the main source of inspiration for ceramist Alessandra Rossignoli, a nature that evokes memories of past places.
