We opened our office as three technology and design enthusiasts in 2010. Combining our previous experiences, we built an extensive knowledge of industrial processes, excellent craftsmanship and an elaborate network of local and international suppliers. We assembled a tightly knit team of 10, with complementary skills, organically growing around a sense of excellence and esprit d'Èquipe. We are commonly taughts form follows functions and thats good design is different than styling. Well, we believe that is not always true. Technology and engineering can seem complex and out-of-reach, design and aesthetics vain and abstract but we aim at articulating the two. Automotive design, product design, and graphic communication; from research and development to complete industrialization: we create high-end products at low production levels for a high-perceived value. We connect traditional design with contemporary technology, craftsmanship with innovation. Dynamic, elegant, dry and masculine: those are the words that would best describe our products. Our unique strength comes from this deeply rooted sense of style and strong production know-how. Everything from the ideation, research, sketch, and prototype, is all is done within our office, giving us an incredible freedom of creation.

The passion that gives birth to a project: "Creating bijoux for me is a passion that I carry inside since childhood. Already as a child I created necklaces and bracelets with thread and beads. The architectural studies have forged my artistic taste. Source of inspiration are art, textures, fabrics, but above all nature. From nature I get inspiration for shapes and colors. I love to weave the metals and give a sinuous shape to bronze, brass or silver. I never make two identical pieces, but each one is unique. Unique as my passion."

Lesley Luxury Vintage was born in Rome in 2008 and it has opened in Milan in 2017. Lesley is a place but also an idea. Lesley is a luxury vintage boutique: the clothing and accessories - strictly designer labels - are never more than three years old. With a stroke of luck you can slip your arm into the It Bag of the moment. Lesley is a small universe without rules, shunning the dictates of fashionistas, a mosaic of unique pieces in which a wardrobe can be recomposed as one’s own, guided by taste, the pursuit of quality and the flair for finding a deal. Lesley is a world in movement in which an object gains a new patina on the wave of the enthusiasm of those who appreciate it, a virtuous and potentially infinite circle. Here is the Idea: to understand that a bag can have more than one life, that from the stiletto of those Louboutin in which you felt divine you want to step down and let someone else feel the rush, and that luxury one-off, can be democratic and ecological.
Ostello Bello is a home for the most beautiful people in the world: travelers. But it is also a special place for all the Milanesi who come here at the happy hour to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Ostello Bello srl was born in 2010, when Carlo, Pietro, Ceri and the rest of the members founded the company. They had one clear purpose: to show the people of Milan what hostels really look like. No one had any previous experience in the hospitality field, but each one of them had the passion and ideas to fuel the project. So after finding the perfect location, in via Medici 4, all of them contributed to the renovation work. Using colored chalks, love and fantasy they built the foundation of Ostello Bello, which opened to the public in August 13th, 2011.
Travelers and locals soon fell in love with the project and after a while national and international awards started to flood in. In fact, every year since 2012, Ostello Bello in Via Medici has been awarded as the best hostel in Italy by Hostelworld. Positive feedback and the desire to broaden the offer stimulated Ostello Bello to find new partners and expand to a new country: Myanmar. By late 2014 Ostello Bello Bagan was born.
Few months later, Ostello Bello doubled its presence in Milan with Ostello Bello Grande. In the meantime, two hostels followed in Mandalay and Inle Lake, Myanmar. In April 2017 Ostello Bello Lake Como opened its doors and in December of the same year the second Ostello Bello Bagan did the same.

It all started in a small laboratory in the historical centre of the Italian town of Piacenza during the late 1980’s. Davide Groppi was inventing and producing his first lamps and decided simply to use his own name for the name of the company.Creative independence and passionate, unconventional management have allowed him, over time, to learn and develop his own brand of original and unique products, currently distributed the world over.Simplicity, weightlessness, emotion and creative invention are the fundamental components of each lamp or lighting project designed by Davide Groppi. Davide Groppi creations are never conceived as just lights or lamps. They come about through the need to give life to something that is necessary or signifi-cant. Some of the things that inspire these ideas are works of art, ready made objects, magic, the desire to make things with his hands or simply the urge to play and have fun with light. Light in the hands of Davide Groppi is a wonderful way to seduce and excite. He has always worked with a faithful group of collaborators who share his vision and help him to develop ideas and bring them to fruition.Over the course of many years of experience, Davide Groppi has developed various products and shows in collaboration with companies specialising in design such as De Padova, Boffi, Paola Lenti and Christofle. There have also been many international projects the world over, including the illumination of houses, stores and museums.Davide Groppi has been particularly active in the area of hospitality (hotels and restaurants). Trust your nose and your instinct! The idea for Six came from entrepreneur Mauro Orlandelli, who wanted to create "a holistic container, where the result is superior to the sum of its parts". Art director Samuele Savio and architects David Lopez Quincoces and Fanny Bauer Grung, worked together with Orlandelli- each bringing their own experience and style - to shape their initial vision and set up the global project. Savio came up with the name and logos - "Six, the smallest perfect number, a positive integer that is equal to the sum of its proper divisors", he explained, - while the architects dealt with the interior design. Last but not least, the musician Sergio Carnevale (together with Nic Cester, member of the Australian band Jet) came up with the idea for the food venue, and the landscapist Irene Cuzzaniti introduced a floral touch with her green design studio. Six, an intimate secret spot located behind a large doorway on via Scaldasole, is characterised by an "old Milanese” courtyard surprisingly dotted with elements of tropical vegetation. Balconies overlook the patio and large open arches, from the sixteenth century building, bring to mind its monastery past-life. The renovation removed the plaster layers from the interior and revealed the original brickwork and floors. "We wanted everything, from the furniture to the plants, to look like they had been here forever.", said Bauer Grung. The overall mood is the result of a subtly playing with contrasts: the smoky grey walls with their brutal taste, the furniture features with classic design, the attention to detail. Nothing contradicts the place's bohemian atmosphere. Likewise, the gallery mixes together Vietnamese vases and modern Scandinavian furniture, nomadic rugs from Altai and tables by Gabriella Crespi, chairs by Gió Ponti and armchairs that Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret created for Chandigarh in India. The bistro - lit by a Isamu Noguchi's lamp sculpture - offers a simple, seasonal cuisine. For special dinners there is a private dining room, a former dinette, that harks the tablemates back to antiquity. With its small stone washbasin, Irene Cuzzaniti's studio is the operational base and a place where to come across unusual objects, inspired by nature and culture.

Beatrice Corradi Dell’Acqua is an Italian artist who lives and works in Milan. She developed a strong interest in art at an early age and after earning a degree in biology she started her artistic career in the fields of graphics and illustration. Today, she focuses on acrylic painting giving life to imaginary and poetic worlds where surprising creatures, such as the fairies of Andersen’s tales, or exotic animals, inspired by Ligabue’s and Rousseau’s works, suddenly emerge among colorful flowers and flourishing jungle leaves. Imaginary figures and real animals, suspended in time and space, interact and merge with the landscape. Analysis and attention to detail are integrated in compositions organized on different perspective levels creating a harmonious relationship between the single elements. The special atmosphere of the paintings is achieved through the artist’s original and unique personal technique, the vibrant colours recalling the fine veins and marble effect of the precious Florentine inlays of the fifteenth century. The contrast between the reinterpretation of "hard material" and the suggestion of the archaic determine the modernity and originality of the artist’s works. Beatrice Corradi Dell’Acqua’s works have been shown in several solo and collective exhibitions.

US artist Jonas Wood designed a terrazzo flooring delineating shimmering Californian flora and fauna in blues, greens, and yellows. TASCHEN Store Milan also celebrates Italian design from the 50s with pieces from the personal collection of Benedikt Taschen. An imposing chandelier on the ground floor is a Giò Ponti design commissioned by the Hotel Parco dei Principe while, on the first floor, a 1954 lamp by Flavio Poli for Archimede Seguso illuminates the exhibition space.
The essay is focused on the riconsideration of the buildings constructed at the end of the XVth century in the block developed around the Santo Sepolcro’s church in Milan by wealthy merchants mainly rooted in the ancient parish of San Sebastiano. Specially attention is given at the so-called “Casa dei Grifi” in via Valpetrosa 5, renovated «ad antiquum» around 1496 by Andrea Ghisolfi, as certifying a document on the supply of construction materials. In this small palace still survives the original Renaissance court with three porticoed sides decorated all around by eight stone medallions carved with Caesars heads, that combines traditional forms in private milanese architectural of the late XVth century and bramantesque elements. The restoration of the house can be placed in general renewal of the capital of the Duchy promoted by Ludovico il Moro with the “Decretum in favorem volentium laute hedificare” (1493). The same is for the so-called “Palazzo Castani” in Piazza San Sepolcro 9, constructed before 1495 by Gabriele Venzago called della Fontana, a rich merchant who promoted also the restoration of a fountain in Sant’Eustorgio monastery (1481) and the erection of the Santa Maria della Rosa church (1479-1493). The building is one of the milanese architectures closest to the Bramante's inventions: the elegant architectural solutions employed in the mansion, both in the sober portal and in the courtyard, anticipate the ones adopted in the classic architecture of the early sixteenth century.
Since 1997 the Institut Français Milano is located in the precious Palazzo delle Stelline, in front of the Santa Maria delle Grazie church and the famous Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper. Spaces aimed to cultural activities are various: in the Institut you can find a cinema, an art gallery and a mediateca.
This shopping arcade is set in Milan and it connects via Meravigli and via Gaetano Nergri, just a few steps from central Cordusio Square and Piazza Affari.
It was built by the “Milano Centrale” society between 1928 and 1930, when Borsa Valori was moved to Palazzo Mezzanotte in Piazza Affari.
The Gallery presents a single 60 meters long arcade with a central 10 meters hall and two identical vestibules with four Ionic columns. The hall is entirely covered by a wide vault made of frosted glass and wrought iron, with a maximum height of 9 meters. The pavement shows mosaics with floral design, typical of Milan’s Liberty style, made by Fantini Mosaici.
The building is characterized by a Parisian grace- architectural style that differed from other Milan’s buildings typical of the 20th century styles, e.g. the neighboring Palazzo Mezzanotte. The big glass and iron vault was typical of the universal exhibitions of the time, i.e. those in Paris and London.
Set in via Santa Maria Valle, this Medieval building is still the private residence of the Counts of Monza but it can be visited by artists and art amateurs. It is now the headquarter of Fondazione Alessandro Durini.
Palazzo has always been characterized by the presence of artists: Giuseppe Bossi lived there from 1809 to 1915. He was a famous painter and art theorist, and he worked as secretary of the Brera Academy from 1801 to 1807. Also Canova stayed there as a host of Count Durini of Monza: during his stays in Milan, he set up his studio in the building.
Rooms at the ground floor feature important paintings and historic décor from the famous Durini collection, which are in a large part exhibited in Milan’s museums such as the Sforza Castle and the Gallery of Modern Art, thanks to a donation of Don Teobaldo of Monza given at the end of the 50s. The rooms surround a beautiful and harmonious courtyard, typical of the buildings of the 17th century in the Lombardy Region.
The most ancient scriptures related to the Confraternity of Saint Mary of the Passion date back to 1455. In 1477 Guiniforte Solari authorized the building of the new oratory and the adjacent little cloister.
Probably, Guiniforte himself designed the little building, which is characterized by a quadrangular area with a double barrel vault and by a little squared apse with an elegant umbrella vault that features various lunette and sails. This is an innovative and inspiring example of the late 15th century’s Milan architecture.
The 16th century decorative painting was followed by other architectural interventions such as the opening of the big Diocletian window of the façade.
At the end of the 18th century the confraternities wound up and in 1812 the oratory was ceded to the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio administration.
After being used as a textile workshop, in 1886 the building was seized again and sold, 3 years later, to a wine merchant.
At present it is a wonderful cultural events venue.
Gilda Contemporary Art is not a simple art gallery dedicated to contemporary Italian authors, but a platform for the promotion and diffusion of national and international contemporary art where exhibitions, happenings, meetings, workshops, video art exhibitions will be held. and presentations of books and magazines.Gilda Contemporary Art is located at the ground floor, on the road front of an historic building in the “Five Streets” neighborhood of Milan, precisely in via San Maurilio No. 14. The building, called Casa dei Botta, was previously also known as Casa dell’Elefante (House of the Elephant) because of the taxidermy elephant head placed on the baroque staircase that leads to the main floor. The building also hosted the chess club. The gallery has two adjoining rooms on a surface of 90 sqm, divided by a sliding wall, two wide shop windows on the road front with their own private entrance and a central window. One of the two rooms is equipped for video projections. The lighting system has been designed with regard to the necessary conditions for exhibitions of artworks, two-dimensional and three-dimensional design; it works by means of two different control panels, that allow to adjust lights and programming, according to the tecnology of today’s automation. A white marble staircase leads to the upper floor, in a cozy office. The stair is equipped with a multicoloured, remote-controlled lighting system.
This small and green oasis is hidden among private buildings, just behind Corso Magenta.
The land was donated by Galeazzo Visconti and Ludovico il Moro to Lorenzo dè Medici, together with the adjacent building, still called Casa Medici, in order to offer the prince of Florence an appropriate accommodation during his stays in Milan to visit the Sforza family.
Casa Medici was then transformed into a monastic complex (the former refectory became the Orchidea essay cinema) and then into a barrack until two years ago, when the Municipality ensured a safe access to the building and opened the garden to the public.
The entrance is in via Terraggio 5. Opening hours are the same of the municipal gardens’ ones.

"D’una città non godi le sette o le settantasette meraviglie, ma la risposta che dà a una tua domanda. Le città sono un insieme di tante cose: di memoria, di desideri, di segni d’un linguaggio; le città sono luoghi di scambio, come spiegano tutti i libri di storia dell’economia, ma questi scambi non sono soltanto scambi di merci, sono scambi di parole, di desideri, di ricordi." (Italo Calvino)

Set in Milan, in via Gorani, Torre Gorani dates back to the 11th century and it was part of Palazzo Gorani, now destroyed.
The tower is just one of the towers of the buildings that decorated Milan during the Middle Age. It is made of cotto tiles with no plaster: the last floor is decorated with double or triple arch windows and round arches.
Once situated in via Gorani, the building was destroyed by a bomb during the II World War, in 1943. The Baroque porch and a part of the perimeter wall survived the bombing.
Architects Checchi & Lima are currently trying to recover the area, they renovated the medieval Tower and restored the Roman mosaic paving.
After 50 years the Crypt of Leonardo is open, it is one of Milan’s ancient churches. Built on the site of the Roman Forum of Milan, San Sepolcro church was founded in 1030 and was dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It was rebuilt for the first time in 1100 as San Sepolcro church and has experienced many modifications over the years. The Roman Forum of Milan was the main square of the Roman civitas, where they carried out major civil and religious activities. It is located in the urban area between Piazza Pio XI, Piazza San Sepolcro and Via della Zecca. This area hosted the platea forensis, the venue of the main public buildings: the Curia (the palace of the local Senate meeting), the Basilica (where justice was administered), the Capitolium (the temple dedicated to the “Trieade Capitolina“: Jupiter , Juno and Minerva), tabernae (shops, craft shops, eating places). The Roman Forum came back to light during the restoration work of Biblioteca Ambrosiana, which occurred between 1990 and 1992. Visitors can see part of the floor, made up of white stone slabs “di Verona,” used by the I century AD.
Come down in the crypt of St. Sepulchre means taking a step back in time, back over 2000 years because, although the Church and the Crypt as we know them today were founded the 6th December 1030 for the behest of Benedetto Rozone, master of the Milanese Mint, this place where was built the Church has at least another 1,000 years of previous history. At that time and just to this area of the city, refer the ancient crossroads between the thistle and the decumanus of the Roman Milan whose most important traces remain today not only in the floor of the Crypt, made with slabs of the Roman Forum, but the Forum itself, present a few meters away from the Crypt (available at the cash the dates and the opening hours ). The crypt is the center and beating heart of the city, it is a very important place for the religion but also for the history. Continuing through the centuries that they saw protagonist crypt, we come to the testimony of Leonardo da Vinci. During his first stay in Milan he pays, at the court of Ludovico il Moro, he asserts his attention to St. Sepulchre, he designed a double planimetry, one time conserved by the Biblioteca Ambrosiana and now in Paris. In the first planimetry, Leonardo draw the map of the upper Church, in the second one the lower church (or Crypt); he sketched columns, pillars, altars, stairs, everything with the right details. Very important is also a page of the Codice Atlantico (atlantic code), conserved in Ambrosiana, where Leonardo draw a map of Milan, in this map he indicated with a square the St. Sepulchre Church like “ il vero mezzo di Milano” the real center of Milano.

Anna Pirovano was still a child when she first watched the restoration works going on inside a church in Brianza. She developed a passion for this art and decided to devote her life to the care and transmission of ancient works of art. During a hands-on training in the atelier of restorer Pinin Brambilla, she worked along with Luigi Parma, who subsequently became her husband. Since then, they pursued their careers together with great dedication and passion, reaching outstanding levels. Luigi graduated from Milan’s Accademia di Belle Arti and was introduced to artistic restoration by his uncle Ottemi Della Rota, who happened to be the restorer that Anna had met as a child. Their approach to the works to be restored is of extreme respect for the artist and for his commitment, love, historic testimony, as well as for the impulse that prompted him to produce a work of art. Since 1983, Anna and Luigi have been carrying forward their work with the same enthusiasm.
The Biffi Boutiques store situated in Corso Genova, one of the most vibrant and true Milanese parts of the city, was initially designed by Toni Cordero and renovated by the famous architect Gae Aulenti in 2002, and has always represented the headquarters of the entire Biffi Boutiques Group. The interior design captures the spirit and the atmosphere of the Biffi Boutiques style, mixing noble materials and soft tints, combining spaces flooded with light from the large windows ad geometric games that emphasize the essential furnishings. The store extends over two levels and includes both a men’s and women’s department. Biffi Boutiques is born in the second half of the 60s from the intuition of two sisters, Rosy and Adele Biffi, who open the first two boutiques in Milano and start a research journey around the world in search of the most innovative and creative fashion ideas. Her sharp eye for new talent has reinforced the company’s success and has consolidated the international prestige of BIFFI’s name and brand. Today the Biffi Boutiques Group has five stores: three in Milan (Biffi Boutiques and Biffi B-Contemporary in corso Genova and Banner in via Sant’Andrea) and two in Bergamo (Biffi Boutiques and Biffi Boutiques Accessories in via Tiraboschi). The square is set between the narrow S.Marta St and Morigi St, on the Roman Mediolanum.
In this area, Roman walls were found and then covered again. Moreover, Santa Marta monastery, one of the richest of the center, was here. It was founded by Augustinian nuns in 1345 and then closed in 1799.
At the center of the square there is the Mentana’s battle war memorial, made by Luigi Belli, a sculptor coming from the Piedmont Region.
The Battle of Mentana was fought on November 3, 1867, near the village of Mentana, in the Lazio Region, between French-Papal troops and the Italian volunteers led by Giuseppe Garibaldi who were attempting to reach Tivoli and capture Rome, then the main center of the peninsula still outside of the newly unified Kingdom of Italy.
The war memorial was inaugurated in 1880, with the participation of Garibaldi who at the time was very old (he died in Caprera in 1882).
Nowadays, Mentana Square is the most important area of 5Vie district: its name comes from the Battle of Mentana, but the square is now the center of another battle between cultural and historical heritage and wild parking.
In 2017, after a massive awareness campaign conducted in the area by the association 5Vie, it was awarded as Luogo del cuore Fai.
The Piazza San Sepolcro is an ancient square in the centre of Milan, not far from Piazza del Duomo.
During the Roman period the piazza was the forum at the intersection of the cardo and the decumanus. Thanks to recent refurbishment, it is now possible to visit a part of the Roman forum finds by accessing from via dell’Ambrosiana.
In 1030 the Church of San Sepolcro was founded, giving the piazza its name.
On March 23, 1919 Benito Mussolini founded the Fasci di combattimento at a rally held at the piazza. The square was also the headquarter of the Associazione degli Industriali Lombardi (Confindustria was founded shortly before)
Beautiful buildings of Milan’s patrician families open out onto the square; on the left side of the church, a gate opens on the Sala Federiciana’s courtyard, which is part of the Pinacoteca Biblioteca Ambrosiana.
A group of forward thinking men united by strong commitment to culture and the Church came together in 1919 to put into effect their intent to found a Catholic university that would exercise an important and necessary role in the nation’s culture. Father Agostino Gemelli, Ludovico Necchi, Francesco Olgiati, Armida Barelli and Ernesto Lombardo faced many challenges but successfully set up the founding organization and authority, Istituto Giuseppe Toniolo di Studi Superiori, in February 1920. On 24 June of the same year, the then Minister of Public Education, Benedetto Croce, signed a decree approving the project. In the meantime, Pope Benedict XV gave the project an ecclesiastical endorsement, calling it a "victorious accomplishment for the Catholic movement, and for the entire ecclesial community in Italy." Inauguration of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore took place in Milan on 7 December 1921 with a mass concelebrated by Father Agostino Gemelli and Cardinal Achille Ratti, Archbishop of Milan, who was to become Pope Pius XI three months later. The first seat of the university was in the Canonica Palazzo, Via Sant'Agnese 2. In October 1932, the university's seat was moved to the historic Saint Ambrose Monastery where it has remained to this day. This monastery hosted the Humiliati order, founded during the 12th century by devout nonreligious people who wanted to live in community and follow apostolic principles. It is also called “Circus” because it was built in the ancient Roman Circus area.
The Monastery of Santa Maria Maddalena was suppressed in 1810. After unpleasant historical events, Carla and Guido Uccelli bought it in 1914. They were the far-sighted founders of the Museum of Science and Technology, they saved the monastery from destruction and perfectly managed its refurbishment.
The family - that still lives there – has perfectly preserved the beautiful and simple 15th century cloister with double porch, once part of the Monastery of the Humiliati of Santa Maria Maddalena al Cerchio. On the back side of the building there are gardens with century-old trees, once part of the monastic vegetable gardens that dominated the area until the 18th century.

This square is a symbol of Milan’s business activities and of Italian finance. Actually, on January 16, 1808, the Borsa di Milano (Milan Stock Exchange), the national financial market headquarter, was established there.
Its ancient origins date back to the 3rd century A.C., when Maximian, a Roman Emperor, built his Palace and the neighboring Circus. As a matter of facts, Borsa di Milano was build on the Roman Imperial Palace ruins.
The present appearance of the square dates back to the 20th century, when the two majestic buildings overlooking the square were built: the first one was finished in 1932, it was designed by Architect Paolo Mezzanotte and it hosted the Milan Stock Exchange; the second one, designed by Emilio Lancia, was built in 1939 and it features sculptures by Giuseppe Maretto.
In 2010 the Cattelan sculpture titled L.O.V.E, Libertà (freedom), Odio (hatred), Vendetta (revenge), Eternità (eternity) was positioned at the center of the square.
The sculpture is made of Carrara marble and it is 11 m high, with 4,60 m representing the hand, and it is also considered to be a symbol of protest against the financial world represented by the Stock Exchange.
The palace was built between 1873 and 1876 at the request of Count Fransesco Turati, a well-respected tradesman in the cotton industry. The Palazzo Francesco Turati is in use by the Milan Chamber of Commerce. The Foundation was established in Milan in September 1999, following the desire of Piero Portaluppi’s heirs to set up a centre for studies, research and dissemination of information, in order to re-enhance the architect’s works and his personality, recapturing the different aspects of his oeuvres, even the lesser known ones. This is the main objective of the Foundation’s bylaws.
Therefore, the first work, started in December of 1997, was focused on retrieving Portaluppi’s entire archive, which had been dispersed after his death, so that all the material that was recovered by the Foundation could be studied by others.
In order to fulfil its primary purpose, the Foundation aims to support research that is currently underway, which will ensure the retrieval, acquisition and restoration of material referring to the architect’s work: documents, drawings, transparencies, sketches, pieces of furniture, objects, photographs, videos, texts and publications.

The workshop of Carati Ambrogio was established by Enrico Carati in 1894. Through the century it has remained the family company. Today Ernesto and Francesco represent the fourth generation of the Ambrogio bronze workers. The workshop specializes in creating furnitures and accessories in brass and bronze. However, having assembled the skills to design and work in bronze, the workshop has extended its artisanal production: fittings for furniture in classic styles (especially French and Italian from 16th to 19th century); the realization of the most varied lighting accessories; furnishings; accessories for bathrooms; kits for upholstery; harness fireplace and ornaments and seals for door handles vents plates etc. The experience accumulated over more than a century allows to the workshop adapt the knowledge with today's technology, such as the restoration of a 17th century crucefix. The work and passion of the various generations of Carati, as well as the loyalty of customers, obtained several national and international prestigious awards. This is an incentive to continue this activity, that can look anachronistic and obsolete, but with its uniqueness carves out a unique space in the contemporary reality of the work world.
Our story starts at the beginning of the 1990’s. Our purpose was to create plates that could bring back to the everyday tables the atmosphere and warmth that was lost to the industrial porcelain production. For more than 20 years, our little workshop found the key to success in its small dimensions. In fact, we were, and still are, able to fulfil every client’s particular requests, never serializing our production. The Laboratorio Paravicini can satisfy the most diverse requests: every desire can be granted. We make ceramic sets in which all plates are different, but they are united by a common denominator. The result is a unique table set inspired by the customer’s own passions. Since 2013, together with our traditional hand painted bespoke production, exclusively made on order, we have created the “COLLECTIONS”: sophisticated designs, screen or digitally printed made in limited editions. Each and every piece is numbered. The “Collections” are young in spirit, sometimes eccentric, always unusual. They are aimed to please an audience looking for collector’s items or objects to decorate their homes. Our hand painted designs or hand applied serigraphy are always under glaze, so that the colours will never fade and are non-toxic. Painting with this technique or applying the serigraphy directly on the biscuit is very difficult and no one else does it this way nowadays, but the plates that come out of the ovens are incredibly bright and shin.
