Atelier Angela Florio – DecorAzione®

Arràs. Light in the Weave.

For Milan Design Week 2026, Angela Florio opens her atelier as a room of light. On display is Arràs, a contemporary fiber optic tapestry created by the artist-designer for the VIP Lounge at the 2016 Genoa Boat Show. Arràs is composed of two mirrored marine elements, part of the Meduse da Mare collection. The work intertwines textile memory and luminous technology: the weave vibrates, breathes, lights up, evoking the bioluminescent creatures of the deep sea. Arràs reinterprets the tapestry as a surface sensitive to light and the vibrations of space.

For this edition, the artist chooses subtraction: a single gesture, a single object, a secluded space. The atelier becomes a space of resonance, open by appointment and during the official inauguration of the 5VIE district.
