Barbara Frua De Angeli has unofficially declared since
years a war against beige interiors. Ever since she started designing
her own collection of decorative textiles, offered exclusively through
the world famous Mimma Gini store, she expressed a true love for exotic
palettes, inventing what were considered then audacious colour
juxtapositions.
Her works pay homage to Milan's decorative arts
tradition in an eclectic fashion, often at crossroads between art and
design. She is considered by many as the natural descendant of Giò
Ponti, who was also a close family friend. Her signature style combines
her careful research for colour nuances that are refined and
unconventional at the same time, placing these within an esoteric
framework that ooze with elegance. She is the first choice among many of
those who appreciate true quality and craftsmanship and who aren’t
afraid of living within an interior full of personality.
With
the Par terre II Barbara Frua created a collection of custom made flat
weaves in jute and cotton, woven in the distinguished dhurrie and sumak
technique, following the millenary Indian tradition of carpets destined
to adorn the imperial palaces of Rajasthan in northern India.
Sophisticated, unusual, and endlessly appealing.
