Possible Alphabet

On the occasion of her solo exhibition The Possible Alphabet, curated by Paola Stroppiana, artist Tania Pistone presents jewelry and paintings, many of them new, placed in close dialogue. Consistent with her painting, Tania Pistone's jewelry expresses an accentuated plastic sense based on the combination of a simple structure in precious metal with a complex and layered one given by engraving and the application of enamel. The inspiration is drawn from the pictorial series Rongorongo, the name of the indecipherable writing of Rapa Nui, and the texts engraved on the precious are excerpts from compositions by writers dear to the artist such as Alan Watts, Ezra Pound and Italo Calvino of American Lessons(texts can be executed upon specific request).
