Bread as a symbol of sharing par excellence, and the word as a fundamental act of exchange, are the protagonists of the Public Program performance of Prendete e Mangiate - the collective exhibition/event dedicated to the table, produced by 5VIE and curated by Sara Bologna.


The exhibition becomes a workshop open to the public in which to knead bread and meanings.

On Thursday, April 20 at 4:30 p.m., inside the exhibition space at SIAM in Via Santa Marta 18, "Per/formare - workshop of chatted bread" is scheduled, with Francesco Capece, pizza maker and co-founder of Confine Milano, and Manuela Gandini, independent curator and art critic.

Francesco Capece was born, lives and began his career in his homeland that is Campania. His latest entrepreneurial venture is Confine Milano, a winery with pizza, opened together with Mario Ventura in Piazza Guglielmo Massaia.

Manuela Gandini is an art critic, journalist, and independent curator. She writes for the newspaper "La Stampa" and is editor of the monthly cultural magazine "Alfabeta2." She teaches Critical Writing at NABA in Milan for the Biennium of Curatorial Studies. She has collaborated for "Il Giorno," "Il Sole 24 Ore," and "Diario, Arte." From 2002 to 2007 she directed the multidisciplinary space Artandgallery in Milan. She is the author of numerous essays including 1990-1962 Ubi Fluxus Ibi Motus Mazzotta, 1999, Milan; Jean Toche. Intollerance, ed. Mudima, Milan 2010. Live Fresco. History of an encounter, Postmedia books, Milan 2008; Ileana Sonnabend. The queen of art Castelvecchi, Rome 2008. She has worked on extreme themes in war zones.
