Trattoria Altra Vista, an innovative itinerant initiative born from the creative minds of the Anotherview collective, announces its debut with a Pilot Episode at the prestigious Palazzo Litta, in the heart of the 5 Vie district, from 15 to 21 April 2024. This event exceptional offers a multi-sensory journey to celebrate Italy in the world, with a focus on design, art, cuisine and lifestyle.
The primary objective of Trattoria Altra Vista is to explore and promote Italian excellence in the world, highlighting the diversity and unique specificities of the various regions of the country. This project, focused on the creation of an imaginary trattoria, a "lived" space rather than a simple design exhibition, will be hosted every year in a different city globally, involving designers and artists who will work on specific projects inspired by the territories described in each edition.

The Trattoria Altra Vista, in an innovative fusion of art, interior design and gastronomy, will offer a series of dinners based on the ingredients and culinary and cultural traditions of the territories selected for each edition. While the majority of places will be reserved by invitation, a percentage will be available for booking for those wishing to immerse themselves in a unique experience, to preserve the inclusiveness of the project. During the day the Trattoria will also be home to other events and presentations.

David Dolcini, the designer in charge of the artistic direction of the project, conceived the layout of Trattoria Altra Vista as a theatrical stage, where visitors become the protagonists of a dinner, immersed in a romantic and hyper-realistic experience that celebrates the essence of Italian trattorias.
The heart of each installation are the evocative windows of Anotherview, which portray different Italian locations over the course of 24 hours, providing inspiration for the narrative of each edition of Trattoria Altra Vista, whose storytelling will be unique and special each time. The interior elements, commissioned by Anotherview from a group of Italian designers and artists, draw inspiration from the artisanal and cultural traditions of the various localities present and play on the border between the nostalgia of the classic atmospheres of trattorias and a more contemporary taste and design approach.

The Pilot Episode, set up in the Aquarium Room of Palazzo Litta, will serve as a manifesto of the Trattoria Altra Vista project and as a showcase to present the potential of the future project to possible partners and investors, both public and private.
For the Pilot Episode, Anotherview selected a group of Italian designers, including Analogia Project (in collaboration with Nature Squared), Andrea Zambelli, Benedetta Mori Ubaldini, Matteo Di Ciommo, Duilio Forte and Simone Fanciullacci (for Studio F), for create furnishing elements aimed at recreating the authentic atmosphere of an Italian trattoria.
The setup is enriched by the lights by Davide Groppi, the curtains by Dedar Milano and the chairs by Arflex.

The Pilot Episode of Trattoria Altra Vista will find its focus in the three exclusive dinners curated by chefs Fabio Pisani and Alessandro Negrini of Aimo and Nadia Milan. The group which includes Il Luogo, the bistRo and the VOCE café restaurant, is led by the Chefs and Stefania Moroni, who continue the path started by Aimo and Nadia, 60 years ago, working side by side, to develop their project which , between gustatory memory and contemporaneity, has the aim of enhancing and celebrating Italian gastronomic culture.

During the day, the space will be transformed into an installation open to the public and a venue for meetings, presentations and a series of conferences coordinated and hosted by the Australian journalist Catherine Shaw.
These conferences will focus on Italy, design and lifestyle, offering a platform to explore and discuss the many facets of Italian culture.

More than a design and culinary event, Trattoria Altra Vista promises to be an unprecedented cultural and artistic experience, celebrating Italian excellence around the world.
